Our history
Our General Manager, Ted Tidmore, was born and raised in the Washington DC metro area, and will continue to be here, growing the business and serving his clients, for many, many years to come. Ted started the company in 1993 and since then has focused on two primary objectives.
1. Establish a network of superb labor and craftsmen, with a wide range of specialized skills.
2. Build a long list of excellent references, by applying expertise and personal integrity to every project.

About the owner, Ted Tidmore
Ted started Holloway Company while attending George Mason University in 1993.
Today he continues to personally oversee all Holloway Company landscaping and home renovation projects. Educated in business management and landscape design, Ted built the business from the ground up, initially designing and implementing every landscape project himself. He’s gotten his hands dirty, and with this experience has gained an understanding of every detail required to bring a project together. Ted’ personal touch, personal integrity, and project follow-up give his customers the desired results and keep them coming back year after year.
Expanding into the Home Renovation area in 1998, Ted handpicked a team of specialized contractors to supplement the work done by the existing Holloway Company employees. Today the success of the Home Renovation and Basement division is testament to the skill the team applies to each job, and the resulting customer satisfaction.
Ted was born and raised in the DC area and is a member of several local and national professional organizations.

Holloway Company is a licensed Virginia Class A Contractor. We carry liability and workmans compensation insurance. There is a staff of 25-30 craftsmen installing and supervising your patios and decks, with a crew of 5 specializing in landscaping and maintenance. Holloway Company also employs full time customer support staff to address your concerns in the office. When you need us….we are there.
